News from Monty. Lots of it!

We’ve got quite a couple of news from the BikeTrial scene recently… so here goes.

1. Monty General Manager, Ot Pi, and Danny MacAskill met last month at the ”Bike Expo 2009” to discuss about the future of street trials and the like.

On July 24, Monty visited the ‘Bike Expo 2009’, Munich to see the latest innovations in the Bicycle world.

2. Kenny Belaey won the 4th Round of the 2009 UCI Trials World Cup in Knokke-Heist, in his home ground of Belgium, in the Elite 26” category! Dani Comas on the other hand came in 2nd in the Elite 20” category! Congratulations on the great results for Monty and their riders!

The Monty official rider, Kenny Belaey, was great at home and won the 4th test of the UCI World Cup held this weekend in Knokke – Heist (Belgium).

Kenny showed his potential in the final 26″and ended up, dominating the two laps with the final victory. The other major official rider of Monty, Dani Comas was on the verge of achieving the first place for Monty in the penult round of the World Trial Cup…Click here to read more.

3. The 2009 World BikeTrial Championships are also set for the 27th and 28th of this month!

China Ping Tang will hold BIU the 18th World BikeTrial Championship China round on 27th and 28th August in 2009, welcome all friends to this world BikeTrial pageant and make the sports spread further…Click here for more.

4. Okay so we’ve all seen the photos and cleaned up the drool from our mouths, yes I’m talking about the Monty Kamel XXV! Here are more photos and news from the Official Presentation of the Kamel XXV that was held on July 29. Oh and speaking of which, I got information that Monty will also be engraving the riders’ name on the bike, as they had asked for the name of the riders’ who ordered it. That is how exclusive this bike is gonna be!

On July 29, the new Monty Kamel XXV 25th anniversary special edition was presented at the event hall of the ‘Poligono el Pla’ in ‘Sant Feliu de Llobregat’ Barcelona.

5. Last but not least, for those of you who haven’t heard, AttitudeBikes’ very own Walton got married on the 1st of August! Besides fixing/selling bikes, answering phone calls, checking emails, well basically running the shop with Han, Walton is also the President of the BikeTrial Singapore Union and still one of Singapore’s top BikeTrial riders for many years! Congratulations once again you two!

Walton Seah, Singapore Monty rider, married in the Chinese traditional wedding on Saturday, August 1, 2009.
