The latest trends – 898. VS Hybrid Suburban.

October 22, 2010

The latest flagship and team issue model, DMR 898.

This 898 frame here is our first contender for the latest Dirt/Park/Street Bike we have build today. Known for its longer wheelbase for stability and new age geometry, this 898 sure leads the crowd into a whole new ball game in MTB park.

Building up this bike in Blue and green was an idea taken off the display bike shown during a bikeshow by DMR. Only difference is the green Dee-Vee DMR rims have been replaced by Atomlab Pimplite rims in anodized green.

Bike was assembled with both new and old parts, Colony Cranks and parts from DMR like the green Spin Standard Drive 27T Sprocket,Green Swarm stem, Ow fork. Parts from NS like Aerial Pro pedals, front hub and Handlebars. Wheels are with Philwood 14G Silver spokes to match the silver parts on the bike, together with Hope Pro 2 Trials Hub and a 13T Single Speed cog powered by a IZUMI BMX chain.

Let us await for more news from our rider once the bike is tested and reviewed!

Custom Build Hybrid Ns Suburban.

Used to be Blue, but special request from the customer got us stripping down the original paint from a brand new frame and have it painted in Matt “close to lime” kinda green! Mix with a refreshing colors from Red and White parts, this bike is sure to attract tons of attention! Talk about custom build? we dig it right down to the bone!

What we have yet to mention is that, this is no doubt a 24″ frame but its actually running a pair of 26″ White Atomlab Rims laced with Anodized red Hope Pro 2 Trials Hub running on 13T single cog. This is a new set-up popular among the riders to achieve a shorter and a more agile 26″ Park bike.

Keeping the butts away from troubles with the 2.35 Tioga Factory FS100 tires are Macnell’s Pivotal Seat and Seat post. Drive-train consist of Candy Red Colony cranks and Black Anodized DMR Spin Standard Drive 27T Sprocket, DMR V8 red splatter design pedals and IZUMI BMX chain. Handlebars from BlackMarket and Deity Stem neatly staked onto of the striking red BlackSpire DH Set headset.

A used Rockshox Dart fork and Shimano Deore brakes completes the whole bike with a nice $$$ within the customer’s budget and requirements. Now we just need to wait and see which of these two latest trend will take off in time to come!
