Giant Reign – Project Green Envy

November 17, 2010

It started off as a Used Giant Reign being sold to the new owner, Gavin. But being in the same riding group Gavin wants the bike to live a new lease of life. Hence the project to do a complete make over and use the minimum of what was initially on the bike.

As the Giant Reign was anodized finish, there was no issue of paint removing hence we sent the frame straight to the treatment shop and then have it coated with Lime green color for the main frame and bight white for the rear swing arm to match the white BlackSpire 808 low rise DH bars and Fox Float 160 front fork.

Looking plain, we need a foreign color to totally “not match” the complete bright color look. With the upgrade to ELKA rear coil shock that carries the Hint of Anodized red. Gavin decide to go all out on the red and make it a hell of a ride! Soon, much parts are replaced in red like the Hope hubs, DH stem and seat clamps, seat, Truvative Noir and SRAM X0 Red-Win group-set, full Jagwire housing in red, Magura Marta SL brakes with non other, Red Goodridge hydraulic hoses.

Sure to be a head turner, but this bad ass bike here is out to make you “Green” with Envy!
