Nicolai Bmxtb Race – 4Enduro.

August 1, 2011

Second Yamaha YX blue with Silver glitter paint job for John Tan. Second Nicolai for his purpose of his training for MotoCross Enduro Races Up north. First was an Nicolai Argon FR – an over build XC and road going free-ride hardtail for physical training.

And now we have a second addition to his little YZ blue family- a Nicolai BMXTB RACE. And the purpose is pretty clear that he would like to do some what more then just gravel, soil or tarmac. He wants some air time and some skill training.

Fair enough, John was pinning some pretty nasty jumps on his first “shake down” of his BMXTB RACE last Sunday at the Tampines Bike Park. That sure wasn’t how our “usual” shake down went as he continues through-out the day without much breaks or a pause for the shelter from the glazing sun.

With all that action some BlackSpire products are called in to hold things up. Renowned BlackSpire NSX Chain guide with custom matched blue rollers and slider, a 34T BlackSpire Downhill Chain ring and Double deep headset in Anodized Gold. BlackSpire 808 Bars in Anodized black – All this powered on by a set of light and stiff Carbon Truvative Noir Crankarms.

Latest SRAM 10spd X9, Short cage and Downhill gear ratios. New Hope Pro 2 EVO hubs and Shimano XT brakes on Braking rotors front and back. Tires are DMR Moto RT for street, dirt, hard pack or even some slight off-road terrains.

For light weight only. No unnecessary heavy tubes or belt drive application but a pure traditional BMXTB rear end. Reward? More German engineering machining of the feather light looking dropouts with tons of material being milled out!

Gusset choice are available on most Nicolai frames with a small up charge hence an irresistible FMXTB Gusset was requested to keep the frame unique on its own.

Hopefully soon we will be taking photos with his Race Winning MotoCross Bike (probably a Yamaha and in YZ blue?) with his two beloved Nicolai hard tails.
